NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 23, 2015) – Bridgestone’s Dayton™ commercial truck tires brand is pulling into the Mid America Trucking Show (MATS) with a special contest celebrating today’s hard working truckers. Dayton will host a wing eating contest at the show on Friday, March 27 just for truckers. The grand prize winner will be awarded a set of 10 Dayton commercial truck tires.
Eight lucky participants will be randomly selected to participate in the contest to see who can chow down three pounds of buffalo chicken wings the fastest. To enter, registrants must be 21 years old or older, a legal U.S. resident and present a valid U.S. commercial driver’s license. Consolation prizes valued at more than $700, including a $500 truck stop gift card and $275 Speedco gift card, will be awarded to each of the runners-up.
Those interested in registering for the contest should stop by the Dayton booth #34415 at the show on Friday, March 27 before the contest starts at 1:00 p.m. The event festivities will include a live performance by the Jake Maurer Band at 12:15 p.m. and a free, light lunch of buffalo chicken wings at 12:30 p.m., while supplies last. The live music will continue after the contest until 3:00 p.m. MATS spectators who entered but were not randomly selected to participate in the contest will be eligible for prize drawings as part of contest activities (must be present to win).
The wing eating contest is just one of several Dayton events planned over the three days of MATS. The fun activities are part of a Dayton brand refresh and new marketing campaign, Tires for Truckers™. The refresh includes eight new Dayton patterns that launched in January, doubling the product coverage of the former lineup. These new products will be on display in the Dayton booth.
